Mother’s Day is undeniably one of the most remarkable occasions in the world. This is largely due to the important roles our mothers play in our lives. This mother’s day our reporter, Quame Junior set out to know what your favorite celebrity did for mothers day. This is what they had to say.

REGGIE ROCKSTONE: Mother’s days should be an everyday something. I don’t believe in setting aside a day especially for mothers. My mum came by in the morning, she went to eat breakfast and we talked, nothing much. I make her feel special everyday. I wish all mothers a happy mothers day.

RICHIE: I took my mother to an interview at YFM and then I took her over Golden Tulip, we sat by the pool side and had lunch. Then we went to Zoozoo to get Shawama. Then I used the rest of the day on PS.

SAMMY FORSON (YFM): My mummy is not here in Accra so all I could do was call. But she knows how much I love her and she is the best mum ever.

DJ MENSA (XFM): A day prior to Mothers Day which was Saturday, I dedicated my two hour show and dedicated it to my mum. Then I bought her a fat Guinea Fowl on Mother’s day. I didn’t do any extra thing. She is special all day long.

EDDY BLAY: I spent almost the whole day with her and the rest is something she alone can comment about.

NII: I gave an early something in bed. She woke up early but I had to make sure I woke up earlier to give her the special treat. I almost stayed up the whole night and it was difficult for me but anything for my mum.

OJ BLAQ: I spoke to her on phone because I was not in Accra. I had to go to Kumasi to attend to some few things so I let her know hoe important she is to me and I will surprise her when I get back to Accra.

NANA BOROO: Unfortunately my mum is not here, she is in the States so I just called her to let her know how much I love her.

AHKAN (RUFF -N-SMOOTH): I took mummy out and spoilt her. I mean I spoilt her. She doesn’t like going out a bit so I broke the terrain and gave her an experience of a lifetime.

GIOVANI CALEB (RADIO UNIVERSE): I have not seen my mother for the past two years. We live in the same West African country but it’s been work, school, work, school. So I woke up very early in the morning and drove over to the Volta Region to tell her I love her. According to her what I did is bigger than any amount of money and she tags it priceless. She thinks I have done something that even her husband has never done. I know my dad might be jealous ……

KOBY (RANA): I drove all the way to Kumasi to spend the whole day with her. I organized a little something for her and her grandchildren.

ASEM: I just went over and pound some Fufu for my mum. That is what she wants and that is exactly what I gave her.

EAZZY: I gave her a grand portrait of herself in the morning and then I took her and gave her a Chinese treat for the dinner. After dinner I gave her a gold watch after dinner.

MENSA: Mother’s Day? Nothing. I was working because my mother will have preferred me to work than to stay in the house. I will take her out today so spend some time together.

OKYEAME KWAME: I took my mother to see her mother in our hometown. My home town is Binna in Mampong Nsuta just a kilometer away from Daddy Lumba’s hometown. The funny thing is we got to village and the whole village took after us.

JON GERMAIN: I slept a lot and then I took my daughter out and bought her pizza. When I came back my mother was at my place asking for her gift and I gave her a hug.
