Ahuofe Patri
It was a record-breaking premiere last night at the premiere of the much-anticipated movie “Amakye and Dede”.
By far the best comedy movie I’ve seen in a while, Kofi Asamoah and His KOFAS MEDIA have once again proven they are a major force in the Ghanaian movie industry.
The performance by Majid Michel, Kalybos and Ahuofe Patri were extraordinary, especially Majid who is not known very much for taking up very comic characters in most movies.
Kalybos was a big breath of fresh air, the crowd literally couldn’t hold back laughing whenever he opened his mouth to speak, it was awesome. Last but not least, Priscilla Agyemang popularly known as Ahuofe Patri has been criticized and underrated for her performances in most of the short films but this goes down to prove her critics wrong.
Her Versatility and calmness proved she was the right person for the role and also by far her best performance I’ve seen. And oh wait she played a twin as well.
John Dumelo, Moesha Boduong, Salma Mumin, Grace Nortey, Umar Krupp,Roselyn Ngissah, Fred Nuamah, Emelia Brobbey, Kobi Rana, Dabo, etc. who took up the rest of the characters played major roles in the movie and got the crowd going crazy as well.
Silverbird cinemas, I believe for the first time ever stopped any other movies from showing, hence “Amakye And Dede” took all the halls at the venue. How did they do it, right??. Anyway, that’s a story for another day.
The question which has been causing brouhaha is WHO WINS AHUOFE PATRI?? and i can safely say that both Majid and Kalybos Were winners in the end.It's a must-see movie.
Some of the dignitaries that made it to the event to show their support were; Eddie Nartey, Coded(4×4), Oscar Yao Doe(President, Eurostar Limousine Group), Ingrid Alabi, Abraham Attah, Stephanie Karikari(Miss Ghana 2010), Bibi Bright, etc alongside all the cast and crew.
