Actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has indicated that the ban on celebrity endorsements of alcohol helped him take his Christianity seriously.

He said that before the ban, he was signed by Kasapreko as the ambassador for Alomo, among other alcoholic beverages.

However, a day after his signing, the Food and Drugs Authority announced the ban, which ended his contract with Kasapreko.

LilWin, who was speaking on Accra-based UTV, indicated that with the ban, he was able to concentrate on worshipping his Lord and personal savior.

"I signed with Kasapreko not for monetary gains but for the love I had for the company and the fact that the founder is my boss. However, a day after the signing, the FDA announced their ban, so I could not see through the end of the relationship. Even though I don’t agree with the decision to ban celebrities from endorsing alcoholic brands because that’s another avenue to make money, it helped me focus on my core mandate of becoming a true worshiper and believer in the Lord," he said on United Showbiz hosted by MzGee.
