Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe, popularly called Maame Dokono, has expressed her disapproval of the way some young women use social media.

In an interview with TV3, she acknowledged the benefits of social media but voiced her concerns about the trend of sharing personal details about one’s life including their love affairs.

She further added that she was disturbed by the increasing number of young women who share provocative images online, sometimes even going naked.

"This social media thing. I am not saying it's not good. It's good, but I hate it when girls… go on social media and post everything. Their love affairs, etc they put it on the media.

"Some even to the extent of going naked on social media. I don't know whether they are selling themselves or what are they doing. In our time, you dare not show your thighs. So how do you show your whole body? What is it?" she questioned.

Maame Dokono also announced her upcoming book launch on September 7, 2024, which will mark her 60 years in the movie industry.

The book, titled ‘The Unforgettable’ covers her personal life experiences, including past relationships, her career, and her political ambitions.
