Comments from record producer and artiste, Willi Roi which more or less belittled M.anifest has been met with counter remarks from some pundits and music lovers.
Willi Roi on AM Pluzz wondered what warranted a song from M.anifest directed at Sarkodie when ‘bossy’, a track by Sarkodie believed to have sparked the controversy was not meant for him.
According to him, Sarkodie only mentioned M.anifest at the latter part of ‘bossy’ just to big him up but was misinterpreted and subsequently influenced M.anifest’s ‘god MC’ song.
The controversial personality further intimated that M.anifest comes nowhere close to Sarkodie when it comes to rapping prowess adding that “M.anifest is a beginner”.
But entertainment analysts Prince Tsegah and Nana Poku (Ashes) on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with KMJ said Willi Roi goofed.
“Willi Roi doesn’t understand how M.anifest came in. He said [in god MC] that ‘don’t use my name in vain’. That means Sarkodie borrowed M.anifest’s line. He [Willi Roi] doesn’t understand literature. He should go and sleep,” Prince Tsegah said.
“Roi doesn’t understand the beef; he shouldn’t meddle in it. The beef didn’t start from that line. M.anifest has hit Sarkodie before in a tune, Sarkodie has done same. It didn’t start from yesterday,” Ashes also said.
Here are some reactions from Facebook as well:
Sarkodie hit back at M.anifest with ‘Kanta’ after the latter released ‘god MC’ believed by some music lovers to be directed at the former.
The beef has led to a buzz on social media platforms with fans of the two rappers defending the lyrics of their respective artistes and punching holes into the opponent’s.
