Musician, Kwadwo Akwaboah Senior has expressed his sorrow on the demise of Willie Roi through musical lines he performed at the latter’s one week celebration. Some lines of his lyrics urged all to love one another irrespective of the person’s calibre since we don’t know when our maker will call us to glory.
“We should bear in mind that are passing through the earth to our final destination and that, we should love ourselves because we don’t know who will face death or troubles”, he said
He added that, as humans, we should desist from favouritism and treat everyone as equal to promote peace and tranquility.
Consoling the hearts of the family, workers of Zylofon and sympathizers, he entreated them to be strong and of good cheer and know their brother has gone to be with the Lord.
The one week celebration of the late Willie Roi was held at the forecourt of the family house opposite Shell filling station inside Tema Community 7.
March 30, 2019 has been slated for the funeral of the late Willie Roi and would be held at the Coca Cola Park at Tema Community 7.
Willie Roi who was Zylofon Media artists and Repertoire Manager died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at his apartment at East Legon, Accra with blood oozing from his mouth and noise.
The deceased, according to his family was sometimes a difficult person to deal with but was never a bad person. Adding that, he was a free-spirited man who loved to encourage the youth in their endeavors.
Willie Roy, who had about 40 years’ experience in the showbiz industry was a musician, songwriter, producer and an outspoken pundit on Showbiz Agenda, a morning show on Zylofon.
He also worked with African music legends including Femi Kuti, Sunny Ade, Sunny Okussuns and Daddy Lumba and groomed talents on the Zylofon Arts Club.
