Afro/dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy says although winning the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards came to him as a surprise, his relentless dedication to his craft proves that it was a well-deserved victory.

The Ashaiman-based artiste in an interview with NYDJ on Behind the Move remarked that he was filled with so much joy when he was announced winner.

“It was a surprise to me but I wasn’t belittled neither was I intimidated. First and foremost, I tend to derive the joy and like the level that brings to me as an artiste…. It was a surprise to me not to say I don’t deserve it but you know that this is genuine so it puts a punch on your emotions. That was the type of surprise. It was well deserved,” he said.
