Entertainment pundit Kwame Obeng Asare, popularly known as A Plus, has reacted to how veteran gospel musician Edward Akwasi Boateng is calling out people who fail to honour their promises.

According to him, Akwasi Boateng calling out MOGmusic publicly over unfulfilled promises shows he does not joke with his finances.

In what seems to be a subtle jab, A Plus said that the number of times Akwasi Boateng has publicly commented about his predicament surpasses the number of songs he has released as a musician.

Speaking on the United Showbiz programme aired on UTV and monitored by GhanaWeb, A Plus shared his thoughts on the controversy between Akwasi Boateng and MOGmusic.

"MOGmusic does not like talking much, but he has spoken for almost thirty minutes, which means the unfulfilled promise accusations worry him a lot.

Akwasi Boateng does not joke when it comes to financial matters... There is nothing wrong with him calling MOGmusic out. Within this short period, he [Akwasi Boateng] has spoken more than the songs he has produced. He should be calm; everything will be fine," he said on the show hosted by MzGee.

Background

Edward Akwasi Boateng complained that his colleague, MOGmusic, failed to fulfil his promise to him some time ago.

He said MOGmusic pledged to support him financially when he made his plight known to the public.

He stated that the promise was supposed to be fulfilled at a programme that was held in Kumasi. However, MOGmusic did not even acknowledge him at the said event.

In an interview with Zionfelix monitored by GhanaWeb, Edward Akwasi Boateng noted that he has not heard from MOGmusic again.

"I was placed on the flyer for the show, indicating that he would support me during the programme, but he never did. I went to greet him after the show, but he [MOGmusic] didn't say anything," he said.

In response to the claims, MOGmusic said: "When the programme started, I walked to him [Akwasi Boateng], and we talked... After a while, I looked at his sitting position, and he wasn't there. I asked my team to look for him, but he was nowhere to be found. Later on, the people who were supposed to be honoured were called on stage and given their plaques. So, it's not true that he was not acknowledged.

"I had no malice against him. He did not get the support because he was absent during the presentation… I asked my manager to contact him later on, but I was told he [ Akwasi Boateng] was not reachable. We have plans to present the package to him; it's still available," he said during the United Showbiz programme, which was monitored by GhanaWeb.
