Wiyaala after her performance at the Kenako Afrika Festival in Berlin got invited by Her Excellency Akua Sena Dansua Ghana Ambassador to Germany for lunch.
The Ambassador who witnessed Wiyaala perform at the annual festival told iBerlin TV: “This is my second Kenako festival and I want to say I'm very excited by the organization of the program. I’m happy the festival is mixing the serious business of Africa with music, fun, and culture and getting a lot more of the Berlin community to get a feel of what Africa is. Most of people assume Africa is a continent full of poverty, war, famine and if you see how Africa is represented here you can see that Africa is a continent is a land of opportunity.”
The diplomat expressed her excitement at Wiyaala’s inclusion to the festival saying: “I'm here tonight because a very popular musician from Ghana Wiyaala is here to perform. I'm a fan of her music and I think she will portray Ghana in a very positive light."
Wiyaala will be premiering her Tuma video on June 30th and also perform at WOMAD Festival in the UK on July 28-31.
