Aflao, Oct. 16, GNA - Juliana Denyo, 24, a Togolese, was on Wednesday remanded by a Circuit Court at Aflao for attempting to smuggle four wrappers of Indian hemp, "wee", to a suspect in Police cells at Aflao. Her plea was not taken and she will reappear on October 22.

Police Inspector Kofi Frimpong, told the court presided over by Mr Godwin Kwasi-Kumah that on October 2, this year, Juliana visited her boy friend known only as Shakah, 28, who had been detained at the Aflao Police Station for alleged stealing.

He said Shakah's accomplice, Sabla Enugah, 27, gave Denyo 5,000 cedis to buy the stuff.

Mr Frimpong said when Juliana returned from the errand and was passing on the parcel the Police Officer on duty intercepted it and on examination suspected the stuff to be Indian hemp and arrested Juliana, the prosecution added.
