Legendary Ghanaian Hiplife musician Big Joe Frazier has shared how the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, significantly impacted his music career.

Speaking on Joy FM's Showbiz A—Z, Joe Frazier shared his experiences working with Okraku Mantey, who was then the Chief Executive Officer of Slip Music, the record label that managed him.

"You can imagine working with Okraku-Mantey. You’ll definitely do well. He is about 50 people listening to your music. Before Okraku would agree to work with you, it means he has seen something extraordinary in you," Joe Frazier stated.

He recalled the vibrant environment at Slip Music, which housed about 40 musicians, including notable names like Daasebre Gyamena, Nana Kwame, Lord Kenya, Akyeame, Felix Bell, and Adane Best.

"So you can imagine someone like that no one knew at the time joining all these great musicians. It wasn’t easy but I felt proud working with them," he added.

The 'Yaa Maame' hitmaker also pointed out Okraku Mantey's extensive experience and reputation in the music industry, which attracted many musicians to him.

"Working with Okraku-Mantey was a plus. I mean for Okraku to accept you, and record you, you feel flattered," he said.

Joe Frazier noted that Okraku-Mantey provided valuable advice on his compositions, helping him refine his music.

Known for songs such as "Apuutoo," "Sheeshee," "Right Now," "Atofie," and "Atuu," Joe Frazier is currently promoting his new song titled "After Church," featuring King Paluta.
