Fast rising act - Gbenga Ilumo popularly known as Worldbe, has added his voice to the issue which last week saw American superstar-Chris Brown bring on stage Nigerian superstar-Wizkid, as both did the latter’s ‘Azonto song, to the annoyance of some segment of some people.

Worldbe who recently did a song with Captain Planet of 4x4 (on one of his new joint In da Club), told us that as a fan of the ‘Azonto’ wave, he doesn’t think that Chris Brown did anything wrong in inviting Wizzy on stage and for the mere fact that everything wasn’t really fixed or planned, it gives more room for explanation.

He said that in line with one of the producers of the night who spoke on TV saying, “it was a surprise to me (the producer who spoke on TV3’s Spotlight on Friday 8th March, 2013) seeing Wizzy on stage with Chris Brown. The day before, Wizkid was heard of being in Ghana to visit R2Bees and the rumour mill had it that he was going to perform with them on stage. Then since we were time conscious knowing that Breezy was to be on stage at 11:30pm, we kept to that time. This means that R2Bees weren’t around the stadium as of that time to do their act with Wizkid before Chris Brown performed.”

Instead of asking if the acts did the right thing or not, we should be celebrating the ‘Azonto’ style. He said that ‘Azonto’ is global and the world is proud that such came from Ghana. Thus, for two big acts to perform with that song means it has a world significance and should be treated with appreciation.

Worldbe is a new act who in all ramifications is getting his axes together to get noticed in the passion he believes so much in. As part of his effort, he has tracks like, ‘In da Club’, ‘Oti sele’ produced by DDT 3, ‘Ole gan’ produced by DDT 3, and ‘I no dey taya’ produced by Killbeatz.

The versatile act is under the management of Boom Entertainment.
