X suspends BlacVolta’s account

The situation around Ghanaian content creator Joseph Adjei, popularly known as BlacVolta, has escalated quickly.

His old tweets from 2010–2012 recently resurfaced, sparking outrage as they touched on extremely sensitive issues like his taste for child trafficking and sexual abuse, among others.

This controversy intensified after the arrest of his associate, SoAfrican, who is currently facing serious allegations involving drugging women and distributing explicit videos without consent.

BlacVolta apologises over resurfaced tweets

BlacVolta, on the other hand, has attempted damage control by issuing a public apology, but the public backlash has proved overwhelming.

As of May 17, 2026, his X account, which reportedly had around 21,000 followers, has been suspended.

The suspension of his account was highly due to public pressure from netizens who have been disgusted by his “predatory” remarks online.
