Ghanaian Actress Xandy Kamel, has been honoured with the Fast Rising Actress accolade at the 2017 African Entertainment Legends Awards (AELA).
AELA is an annual award event organised in Nigeria which aims at celebrating legends in the entertainment industry across Africa. This year’s edition was held on December 2, 2017.
Xandy, known in showbiz as Beautiful Pooley, beat off competition from other actors and actresses across Africa to pick the award. She has featured in over 25 Ghanaian movies, both Kumawood and Ghallywood.
Her first stint in Nollywood was a cast in Beyond Love from the stables of 1 and 2 productions.
She has also featured in 5 pm, Four Forty, Destiny, Precious Gold and The Promise, among others. She has worked with actors like Kofi Adjorlolo, Yvonne Nelson, Kwadwo Nkansah LiWin, Daddy Lumba, Kwaku Manu, Bill Asamoah, Emmanuel Armah, Olu Jacobs, Wizkid, Emelia Brobbey, Maame Serwaa, Ebiye Amanda, Fredrick Leonard, Bishop Umeh and others.
