YFC national youth camp in August

Ho, July 23, GNA- The annual Youth Camp of the Ghana Youth for Christ (YFC) has been slated for August 24 to 28 at the Tema Senior High School in Tema. It is expected to attract more than 200 young people from across the country.

Mr Bremansu Osa-Andrews, Planning Committee Chairman for the Camp who briefed the Ghana News Agency in Ho, said this year's theme: "Arise and build," hopes to empower the youth to respond positively to the moral decadence in the country. He said the main speaker; Evangelist Moses Asamoah-Kumi would be expected to "inspire campers towards peer evangelism and exemplary leadership".

Mr Osa-Andrews said activities such as career guidance, health talks, games, biblical awareness and general counselling would be undertaken and urged young people across the length and breadth of the country to take advantage of the opportunity. He said the Camp fee is 30 Ghana cedis, for accommodation and feeding and advised churches to encourage and empower their youth to be part of the "all time life transforming Camp." The last YFC National Camp was at the Adisadel College, Cape Coast.
