YFM flies listener and mother to Nairobi on a Safari Treat

Ghana’s leading urban radio station, YFM, has officially announced the list of winners for the YFM Mothers’ Day promotion with 19-year-old Naomi Ikoko being the ultimate winner.

Naomi and hundreds of listeners of the station took part in the promotion by responding to questions like “what movie best describes your mother” and “what makes you feel good about your mom”. They were also required to send their personal details to YFM in order to take part in the promotion.

After a rigorous selection process, participants were shortlisted and the final list of winners were announced Monday on RyseNShyne with Akosua. In all, ten listeners were declared winners of the promotion with each person receiving a special treat at the Tranquility Spa in Labone, with their mothers.

Naomi Ikoko, the ultimate winner of the promotion, will go for an all-expenses-paid Safari trip with her mother to Nairobi - Kenya. In an interview, the ecstatic Naomi who was called live on Ryse N Shyne expressed her immense excitement at being declared the winner for the ultimate prize in the YFM Mother’s Day Promotion

In the same conversation, the 19 year old student of BluCrest College also shared a heart touching story about how her mother refused to abort her in spite of certain difficult circumstances during her pregnancy, and did whatever she could to keep her baby and raise her.

The promotion started running on the 30th of April ended on the eve of mother’s day. According to the management of the station, this is one of the several promotions through which the station will be rewarding its cherished listeners.
