YFM, Ghana’s leading urban radio station, has crystallised its status further after four of its DJs received nominations for the 2016 Ghana DJ Awards.
DJ Mic Smith, OgeeThe MC, DJ Kess and Mz Orstin picked up nominations for the 2016 Ghana DJ Awards themed “Move to the Beat”.
The Ghana DJ Awards is an annual event which seeks to reward DJs who have remarkably entertained people and played a major role in music promotion in the year under review.
It is organised by Merqury Republic to honour and celebrate distinguished DJs in Ghana and across the world.
The four DJ’s have been nominated in the categories of: Best DJ of the Year and Best Event DJ (DJ Mic Smith), Best Female DJ (DJ Kess and Mz Orstin) and Best Club MC of the Year (Ogee The MC).
Commenting on the nominations, Kwame Gyan, Head of Brands Communication and Marketing for Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company, the mother company for YFM said that “We are very elated about these nominations and are very proud of the fact that the work of the YFM team has been recognised by organizers of this important awards.
