Beginning yesterday, November 2, 2015, listeners of YFM, the number one entertainment radio station, are going to be served with new exciting changes, with the cherry on the cake being a first time ever 3-day weekend which runs from Friday to Sunday.

These changes are aimed at not only furnishing YFM patrons with the best products which will thrill, educate and entertain them, but also take radio programming in the country to a whole new level.

The much-anticipated changes will include a 3-day weekend, from Fridays to Sunday, with a line-up of exciting new shows and presenters including the evergreen Akosua Hanson who will now be hosting the ‘Big Weekend Morning’ show from 6am to 9am.

At that same time, weekday programming which will now run from Mondays to Thursdays, will have the exhilarating Ms. Naa back at the helm of the ‘Ryse and Shyne’ show, to start the day with a bang.

Then from 12pm to 3pm, Afropolitan Mix will be replaced by the engaging request show ‘Shouts on Y’, hosted by the suave Caroline Sampson.

Commenting on these new developments, the new Head of Radio for Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GABC), Naveen Singh, said, “One of the most important things for us at YFM is to always ensure that we come up with new, innovative ways of providing quality service to our clients, as well as accommodating the needs of our listeners. Not only that, we try as much as possible to look for opportunities to position our presenters and DJs such that they can tap into their maximum potential.”

“These decisions are made based on valuable feedback from our clients and listeners. As such, we will always strive to ensure that our product remain the best” Naveen continued.

Also on YFM weekends afternoons, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, listeners are presented with a unique opportunity to rule the airwaves as they are given the chance to request any song they would like to be played for them.

Patrons are encouraged to stay tuned as the station gears up to bring them even more exciting developments in the months to come.
