'Yakubu' is the biggest song in Ghana now, not 'Telemo'

Rapper Kwaw Kese on Joy News Thursday morning announced that his song “Yakubu” which features Sarkodie is currently the biggest song in the country.

Abodam as he is affectionately called, stated that the song “is all over Ghana”. He said most of his fans now call him Yakubu instead of his showbiz name, Kwaw Kese.

“If kids are calling me Yakubu, if the boys on the streets are calling me Yakubu and if mama’s and dadas in the homes are also calling me Yakubu, then that tells you how big the song is.”

He said the popularity of “Yakubu” is not because of his prison sentence but “the song is a good song. We have some songs that just sticks into your head and its there forever.”

Kwaw Kese also hinted of releasing a new song with Stonebwoy soon. Kwaw Kwaw will launch his 18 track album later in the year.
