Highlife star Martin Kofi King Arthur, also known as Kinaata, has paid his last respects to Gospel star Kofi Owusu Dua-Anto (KODA).

In a Facebook post on Saturday, September 21, 2024, Kinaata shared that he attended KODA's burial service on Friday, September 20, 2024. He included photos of himself in white, emphasizing its significance, along with images of the hearse carrying KODA's remains.

"Yesterday, I joined loved ones at the burial service of our dear KODA at the KICC Dominion Center in Accra. We wore white to celebrate his glorious entry into the presence of his Maker. You will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace, KODA [fist, chill emojis] #TeamMooove," Kofi Kinaata wrote.

Both Kinaata and KODA hail from Takoradi in the Western Region.

KODA was a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, record producer, and sound engineer. He was a legend of Contemporary Gospel music in Ghana, mentoring many stars in the genre and producing multiple hit records.

KODA passed away on April 21 at the age of 45. While the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed by his family, it is widely known that he battled kidney disease for an extended period.

The hearse carrying KODA's remains displayed his name on its number plate, while the phrase 'Yesu Edi Nkunim' was inscribed on the front and back. These words echo lyrics from KODA's megahit "Hosanna" and reflect the Christian belief in resurrection, symbolizing that all believers will triumph over death.

John 11:25 records Jesus saying: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."
