Most of our musicians after their first album sinks down the drain and only a hand full are able to stand the heavy storms in the music industry. Some attribute it to the problems the industry is facing and others just go back to learn more to fill the lapses.

Simon Sam Dzima better known as “Young Sam” after a long break has finally broken the silence and ready to give    Ghana music what it has been lacking. He went on a break to learn more and add to his musical talent and also to take the industry by surprise with his second album.

A lot was heard from him three years ago with his first album “Aso ma ni” which literally means “I appreciate it”. It contained mind blowing tracks like “Akosua”, “Aso ma ni” and “All for you” remix; a song originally sang by the late E.T Mensah. These songs received massive air play when released in 2004 and good sales were made from the project.

Young Sam said he could do more than what he was doing if more effort is added. He then traveled to U.K for research about the music trend he wanted to embark on that is Lovers rock (a fusion of reggae and highlife).

After three years of serious research and training in music he is back home and about to hit the airwaves with his second platinum album dubbed “Oga pass oga” which has tracks like “She knows” featuring Chemphe and Snooky, “  Nyimpa ye de”, “Oga pass oga” featuring Tuga and “Posame”.

The album scheduled to be released in December will be officially launched in both Ghana and Europe. Why “Oga pass oga”; he explained in all things there are masters and he thinks the master of all masters in Lovers rock in Ghana is in now.

The sound was recorded by the current hot and dynamic engineer in town Kaywa and A.B studios all in Tema. The project is being produced by “Sing along records” and under “Panpii” management a new management team headed by a lady ready to set standards in the Ghana music industry and beyond.
