Rapper Sarkodie has advised upcoming artistes and other colleagues in the music industry not to make their language become a barrier to their success in music.

There has always been the argument that Sarkodie raps in his native Language and cannot break bounds internationally because people don’t understand his native language in the outside world.

However, Sarkodie has through perseverance and endurance walked his way into the hearts of Ghanaians and the International world with the use of Ghanaian language.

In a post on his Instagram Page, the rapper reminded upcoming artistes that people don’t need to understand the wording of their songs before they become instant hits. All they need according to him is work hard.

“Just cos you don’t understand what We saying ain’t a good reason enough to not make it to your top 5 … music is Soul!!! We from Africa and we def can do it better.”

He also added that he does not believe everything has time but rather believes that if one sets out to do something, he/she should give it the best shot and the individual will reach for stars.

Sarkodie is set to launch his ‘The Highest’ album on September 8.
