Accra, April 21, GNA - A lecturer at the English Department of the University of Ghana, Legon, Mr. Mawuli Adjei has expressed worry over the recent spate of foreign lifestyle being adopted by the Ghanaian youth.

He said that excessive copying of foreign cultures could lead people to looking down upon their own cultural values. Mr. Adjei made the point during an interaction with some level 200 students of the English Department. The dressing of the youth, among others was the focus of his admonition.

He admitted that no nation is an island on its own hence different lifestyles are expected to mix up among people of diverse cultures but he was quick to emphasise that excessive "borrowing" of foreign cultures was a dangerous move.

He urged the students in particular and the youth of Ghana in general to exhibit decency in deeds and in their outward appearance.
