Accra, Oct 19, GNA - Tourism Minister, Mrs Sabah Zita Okaikoi, is one of the recipients of the prestigious Africa under 40 achievement awards by The Network Journal, a New York City based premier monthly magazine.
The Minister and other award winners will be honoured at a special reception and awards dinner on Thursday, November 6, at the La Palm Beach Hotel.
The award singles out African achievers of the next generation, who are 'reaching for higher goals' in their dedicated businesses and community involvement.
A statement from the Ministry of Tourism said Mrs Okakoi since assuming office as the Minister of Tourism had embarked on number of initiatives that had won the admiration of the international community. Some of these initiatives include the organization of the first ever International Tourism Investment Forum, which brought about more than 400 International and local investors to access the opportunities in the tourism sector. 19 Oct.10
