Zynnell premieres two movies

Ghanaian actress Zynnell Lydia Zuh is about to make history, as she is set to premiere two movies titled, Love Regardless and “When Love Comes Around’, back-to-back within a period of one month.

The beautiful actress made the announcement at the movies’ press screening in Accra on Sunday, September 28.


“We have been working tirelessly to bring out the best and definitely movie audiences will be happy to see something amazing from us before the year ends. We will be rolling out these two movies back-to-back,” she said on Sunday.


Zynnell will be the first Ghanaian actress to premiere two movies back-to-back in an era when actresses are going behind the cameras to also produce.


The movie, Love Regardless, which is produced by Zynnell Zuh’s Five Star Pictures and Muyiwa Aluko’s watts camera action, will premiere on November 21. Then a few days to Christmas, “When Love Comes Around’ will also hit the big screens.


Love Regardless tells the story ofIvory (Zynnell Lydia Zuh), a struggling singer trying to make it in the music business. She is being pressured by her mother (Paulina Oduro) to put her law degree to good use. She meets Racheal (Yvonne Okyere) and they become good friends. However their friendship is put to test when Ivory meets Racheal’s father, Peter Atsu(Gbenga Titiloye).

It is a love story with a stellar cast led by Zynnell Lydia Zuh, Yvonne Okyere, Paulina Oduro, Kwaku Elliot, and Gbenga Titiloye. It also features Emmy Award winner, Michelle Mckinney Hamkond, Helen Asante, Nash Alexei Smith and KOD. It’s a directorial debut for cinematographer, Muyiwa Aluko, who also wrote the Screenplay.


Some of the cast were present at the media premiere on Sunday.


On the other hand, ‘When Love Comes Around’ is a romantic comedy also produced by Zynnell Lydia Zuh and directed by Afe Olumowe.


It features Zynnell Lydia Zuh, Jim Iyke and Eku Edewor (of Nigeria), DJ Pierra Makena (of Kenya), David Osei, Edward Kuffuor and Confidence Haugen.


It revolves around a character called Love (Zynnell Lydia Zuh) who, after an early heartbreak, grows up not believing in true love. Money and social status are now her main criteria as she searches for her dream man. The rest of the story is for movie goers to see for themselves.
