The evening kicked off by some of the new acts such as Frankie Boy and King Size among others who did their best to get the revellers in the mood for a long party.
There was many acts preceding Sidney. The crowed was treated to anthems like Obia Nye Obia, Apuskeleke and Scenti No and reminiscent of Daddy Lumba in his stage performances.
After Sidney came on the enigmatic Tic Tac with Kwani Kwani and Philomina among others. The main Attraction of the night came on after TIC Tac's successful act.
Amachi Dede opened the floor with a full set Live Band. The Crowd were now ready for a party and from 3am in the Money, Amachi kept the Rex venue vibrating with hit after hit. Overall it was a very satisfying and enjoyable event to cap a very long 2006.
GMA blossoms despite delays As predicted, the sell out crowd to attend the Ghana Music Award started thronging the New Connought Rooms in Convent Garden.
