Accra, Nov. 18, GNA - A Ghanaian musician resident in Cote d'Ivoire, Kofi Tweneboah has advised Ghanaians to observe a peaceful atmosphere for the December 7 elections.

In a statement he issued in Accra on Monday, he said Cote d'Ivoire, under the regime of the late President Felix Houphouet-Boigny, enjoyed peace but their situation had worsened due to political instability. As a witness in the country, he said, Ivorians were not enjoying peace, businesses had collapsed and there was unemployment, economic hardships and loss of lives due to political conflicts. Tweneboah said peace and cooperation would make Ghana gain respect from the rest of the world and strengthen unity to achieve development goals.

He appealed to the government, police, media and general public to help promote peace by educating the people on political conflicts to hold high the flag of peace forever. 18 Nov. 08
