Original Borborbor From Israel

Israel Maweta and the Senam Group, formerly known as the Supreme Singers, from Ho in the Volta Region, won the Ghana Music Awards for best traditional song for 2002.

The group has come out with an album entitled ?Original Borborbor? on CD and cassettes. It is the fifth album of establishing itself as an enterprising group in the local music arena. 

The 18-song album is an original production. All songs were written, composed and arranged by Israel Maweta Nanavi, the leader of the group.

The song which are all in Ewe include ?Le Mawu Fe Nkome?, ?Ne Tuwo Di Hu?, ?Ne Mawu Degbe La?, ?Metsor Susu?, ?Nye Ketorwo?, ?Mega Zikpul?, ?Nye Menya Bena?, on Side A.

On side B, are ?Manoamesi?, ?Yatse Gazu Nukpokpo?, ?Ne Agbeme Fuwo?, ?Medi Be Mayi?, ?Ewu Enu Azor?, ?Tefe Ma?, ?Fafa Mewo Nuvor?, ?Ne Wodo Vlom Ha?, and ?Mawa Xoasi Ade?.

To all Borborbor lovers the new album offers a new window to listen to authentic compositions that are enriched with proverbs that relate to daily happenings in life. And to those who do not speak Ewe, the beats and general rhythm of the songs will push them to rush for copies.
