Band leader of Omanyeaba Members of Ghanaian based traditional dance band, Omanyeaba Dance Ensemble, showed their love by launching what could be called the most multi-featured, highly interactive traditional African band website currently on the Internet, www.omanyeaba.com.

No ordinary band website, Omanyeaba.com moves far beyond basic features such as the band?s bio, tour dates, photo gallery, music cd?s, message boards, traditional African instruments and music downloads, to create an interactive global online community.

Omanyeaba Dance Ensemble is a group of extraordinary acclaimed musician, educators, and composers from Southern Ghana. The founding members are the hereditary keepers of the family royal drums.

Omanyeaba founding members has kept up this family tradition all of their life by struggling to maintain and nurture the traditional instrument, music, and rhythms of West Africa. The dance ensemble taught and performs all over Ghana and some of the leading members, to the international seen, like U.K, Australia and United State of America. Wherever they go, they brings along their passion for music dance and drumming.

Omanyeaba means 'blessing' in the local language of their hometown of Accra. These exciting percussion and dance ensembles present a high-energy and dynamic performance featuring music, drumming, dance, and percussion and soaring vocal harmonies.

Their name becomes clear as you experience their performance, loving and the celebration of their blessing through music and dance.

With about 22 drums played with hands, feet and sticks, Omanyeaba bring their instruments to life as they share a fusion of traditional Ghanaian music and dance depicting the life and soul and rich heritage of their ancestors, blended with their own refreshingly contemporary and original compositions.

Together for just over two years, Omanyeaba recently finished recording its much anticipated debut album ?Djomo? a Ga word meaning great blessings and sought to develop a website for album promotions.

The website features includes, band bios, description of traditional African instruments, online sale of band cds, message boards, band schedules and photo gallery.

?The Enquiry from promoters all over the world is incredible,? says Mr. Senyo Kpelly, the Manager of the band. ?So many people have already made this a part of their daily lives, and say they like it. There are fans across the world visiting the web site at all times, listening to the sample music cd. It?s beautiful! Even with major African label's million cedis pockets, nobody has created anything exactly like this before. If the future of African music promotion is the Internet, we?ve just seized it with both hands.?

Omanyeaba.com has become the missing link in the next evolution of African music on the Internet.
