Nana Romeo To Shake Music Scene

A US-based Ghanaian artiste, Nana Romeo, who is working tirelessly on his second album title ?Njole?, has declared his intention to release the eight-track album in Ghana.

Nana Romeo, whose music will soon hit the airwaves in Ghana, is set to capture the attention of Ghanaian music lovers with his inspiring lyrics. Many music fans, after listening to the songs on Romeo?s new album would come to regard him as a highlife/jama music star.

Romeo?s ?Njole? album has been equipped with good traditional jama dance rhythms is portrayed in his presentation in all his songs. His musical work, a few years back, placed him among the rare crop of musicians in Oseikrom, whose songs carry specific social messages aimed at reforming society.

His voice on the album is cheerful and appears to be on initimate terms with the listener, providing in the process a kind of exaltation that is both exciting and delicate. Nana Romeo promises the general public good tunes on his album featuring certain top artistes.

Known in his youthful days as Fili Buster, Romeo possesses a silky smooth voice that can compare favourably with any other. He told P&P during a telephone interview that he was really ready to hit the airwaves in Ghana in a grand style. A few music lovers and radio DJs who have had the opportunity to listen to Romeo?s songs have welcomed this latest album.

The musician who wants to become one of the pillars of highlife music is working assiduously to place himself on the music chart as soon as possible. Romeo, who wrote and composed all the eight tracks on the album, also did the lead vocal in all the songs. Nana started his musical career in early 90 in his hometown, Asante Asaman in Ashanti where he had his secondary education at Konadu Yiadom Secondary School from 1984 to 89.

His first album titled ?Beyie Nye? was not crowned with success, due to lack of funds to promote it on music market. Nonetheless, Romeo, managed to sell a few copies on the streets of Kumasi to defray part of his production cost.
