Isaac Dorfenyo a.k.a Ma-Jay the new kid on the block in the hiplife genre has turned out a song for the nation 'I see a Rainbow over Ghana' which many believe is a chart-topper above all the Ghana@50 anniversary celebration songs.
The song, 'I see a Rainbow over Ghana' is an international standard masterpiece which is presented in six versions. The first is a classical version orchestrated between the National Symphony Orchestra, Ghana, followed by the Winneba Youth Choir doing the song in their usual choral style.
There is also the rap version in English, Twi, Ewe, Ga and Dagbani, the R&B, Jazz, and Brass Band versions by the Ghana Police Band.
The varieties of the song presentation are to show the great talents that exist in Ghana and to promote unity with a common destiny among all tribes of Ghana.
Ma-Jay, who started serious hiplife in the year 2000, also featured top hip-life icons like 4X4, Pop Skinny and Belbonfly who dished out perfect lyrics to spice up the song. Ma-Jay himself performed the Ewe part in the hiplife song and the English rap in the R&B version. Ma-Jay's motive for coming out with such a masterpiece was his love for Ghana. He also wants to offer the world something to dance to during the celebration of Ghana@50.
The song, which is already enjoying massive airplay on some major radio stations in Accra, goes to tell Ghanaians that they will surely see the sun shine again, and the rainbow of hope will certainly become a reality. This skill caught the eye of the Ghana @ 50 Secretariat and Ma-Jay was scheduled to perform at the Presidential Dinner on the 6th of March and on Music Music on the 10th March at the TV3 STUDIOS. From now, he urges all Ghanaians to keep on playing and singing along the song; 'I See a Rainbow over Ghana'.
Ma-Jay wishes to say a big GRATIAS to his manager Papa Destiny and Kurt Merki Snr. who wrote the song. Sound engineering was done by Quick Action. The proceeds accrued from the sale of the album will be donated to charity.
