Georgia Agyei Still Strong

She was a strong part of the fight to survive contemporary gospel music in Ghana. After this survival, she has remained a major competitor to most great gospel musician.

Georgia Agyie?s call to minister onto the lord still maintains it freshness as ever. A singer from childhood, she recorded her first professional album in 1989, produced by A.K. Brobbey titled ?oho huo ne omanfra ne? as well as her second album titled ?Tie me su fre?.

After which she was signed on by Osei Kwame?s Despite Music Production with her three album including one of her greatest hits ?Nie awuradi aye me? on the Pentecostal praises album. Mr. Donkor a Ghanaian UK based music producer and Auntie Grace also based in Germany took care of her sixth and seventh album respectively.

She is now back from a long break off the music scene and waiting for the lord?s own appointed time.

The gospel star has finally broken the silent with her eighth and latest album titled call ?Ebenezer?, which was strangely a bonus track written by Baffour Kyie of the SDA church and has suddenly became a smash hit on the album. The eight tracks tape (cassette) and ten tracks on CD?s album has other inspirational and heart warming songs like ye foso me mu, me, into my heart, oteasifo, nei wo woyeme nie and many others.

After fourteen days of fasting and prayers the lord revealed to her one of the biggest, if not the only professionally acclaimed music Production Company this country has ever produced. Megastar Limited is where she signed a very juicy record deal and for the first time in her seventeen years musical carrier sold over ten thousand gigs on the first week of her album release.

According to Georgia, she thanks God for showing her, the way to Megastar because almost all her seven albums made hit but this new one under Megastar is making too much waves (maybe they are paying enough payola) . She also confirmed that ?Ebenezer? is her greatest project still in the making.

After topping most gospel chart with massive airplay and tremendous sales, the gospel music diva believes the sky is the limit. Since she entered into music Georgia flopped. ?I don?t think there is anything fake from God?. The songster shares her believe. You can?t imagine what next Georgia has up her sleeves; just keep your fingers crossed.
