As Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofie recently pronounced, we should go on because change is definitely coming to the children of God in a mega way.
This mighty move of God is blowing across the country and landing on Edmund Eghan, a lead singer with Power of Praise, the resident band of the Jesus Power Assembly of God church in Columbus, Ohio.
Edmund Eghan recently launched his debut gospel album titled "Anidasu Wo Awurade Mu", literally translated, there's hope in the Lord at a packed gathering of Christians and a cross section of residents in the Columbus metropolis.
The Rev. Bismark Osei Akomeah, founder and general overseer of the church who performed the launch entreated the congregation to sow seeds in the life of this God fearing youngman's ministry, because according to him, it is a vision worth supporting to expand the work of God.
Rev. Akomeah pointed out that the Good Lord blesses us in various ways and Edmund's is manifest in the songs he writes and performs to glorify our maker.
The album has eleven solid tracks that span praise and worship to reggea medleys all of which were written and composed by Edddie as he is affectionately called with assistance from Naana and Dan. Rocking the auditorium with some tracks from the album as well as his noted spiritual dance stomps, Eddie had backing from Mabel Asamoah, Ivy Agyare both gospel debutants, and Columbus' own prime band the Levites, not to forget about the indomitable Power of Praise.
Edmund begun his gospel sojourn with the Victory Assembly of God church in Ghana and when he migrated to the United States a couple of years ago did not give up on his life long dream.
He further moved to Columbus where he became a member of the Power of Praise led by James Quartey and his singing life has never been the same. He has backed a great lot of other gospel stars ultimately culminating in his own debut release.
Watch out for "Anidasu Wo Awurade Mu" because there is certainly hope in the man upstairs and if you put your trust in him, he will take you to heights you least imagined and the tracks on this album speak volumes for itself.
