The song engineer with the magical fingers behind Wild Wild Studios, Isaac Kofi Okai popularly known as Wallace, has said he would soon go to court with debt charges against popular highlife artiste - Ofori Amponsah, aka All 4Real.
Wallace told the Weekly Fylla in an exclusive interview that “I recorded three tracks for Ofori with two appearing on his Otoolege album. The three includes ‘lady’, “wine” and “insanity”. “Insanity” wasn’t used on the Otoolege album however”, Wallace intimated.
Wallace also went on to declare about how he personally taught the artiste how to come out singing in the Ga dialect. It is two years now since that deal was passed when he recorded the said songs at Achimota in the studios of 4Rees at his residence then at Achimota.
After recording those tracks, the musician and song engineer, Wallace, alleged that Ofori had the chance to perform in London and Germany. He realized that whiles Ofori was away, he (Ofori) asked to get the songs data across to him without his (Wallace) knowledge.
Being the brain behind the work-piece, he was hinted that the engineer also working at 4Rees studios, Johnny Fingers, had sent the data to Ofori and that it was being mastered by a popular Whiteman Engineer known as “BODO” in Germany.
On his part, Ofori must pay him 3million cedis for each track and that runs to 9 million cedis in total. For him, the fact that he wasn’t noticed before the data went abroad alone expresses Ofori’s intentions to stab him in the back.
In his bid to settle the matter amicably, there were occasions were there were some confrontations and a scuffle ensued in one of such confrontations. The case was then reported to the Mile 7 Police station by Wallace. It is alleged Ofori packed from his residence at Achimota and relocated to his new home at Ofankor in Accra during that time.
An insider hinted Weekly Fylla that All4Real on the other hand lodged the case at Tesano Police Station where he accepted the debt charges and blamed it on misunderstanding. The source went further to say that Ofori decided to pay ¢3million cedis with the excuse that the songs were worked on at his own studio.
Calling for an amicable settlement, Ofori along the line never turned up at the police station or answered calls as agreed upon. After lots of interventions, Wallace accepted to let sleeping dogs lie, but now he feels being cheated and needs his money.
All efforts to get Ofori for his part of the story have proven futile however Weekly Fylla would go follow the matter until the truth is established. However, word has it that Ofori Amponsah is preparing for a show outside the country anytime soon.
