Why is the government being pressured by certain individuals to take the responsibility of providing medical treatment for Ghanaians abroad?
This is a bad precedent for government to be doing that.
Ghanaians must instead force the government to equip their regional hospitals with the medical technology needed to take care of our patients inside the country. Our medical profession are very qualified but they lack the technological medical equipments . Medical treatment abroad is very expensive and the amount spent in the care of patients sent abroad could be used to purchase some of the equipment that we need in the country. It is time Ghanaians stop government from sending government officials abroad for medical treatment. If Ghanaians will go to the airport and stop government officials being sent abroad for medical treatment, the government will be compelled to get these medical equipment for the hospitals .
