Unfortunately, the USA authorities are more concerned with slapping these crooks with prison sentences and hardly does nothing to go after the loot of these criminals so that victims can be compensated. The USA government's sentencing is often so low that it has to put it in terms of months instead of years just to make it appear as if the criminals have been given lengthy sentences, and this accounts for why these criminals are emboldened to keep victimizing people. After just a few years in prison, they return home to their luxury lifestyles while operating their various business interests in other people's names in order to avoid having to pay restitution to their victims.
