The father of Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has added his voice to the ongoing “battle” between the artiste and his former management.

On January 22, 2026, GhanaWeb reported that Kwesi Arthur shared a post on social media accusing Ground Up and its CEO of extortion, threats, financial demands, and attempts to block his independent music releases.

Following the post that has become a topic of discussion in the entertainment space, the father of Kwesi Arthur, in an interview shared on social media on January 22, 2026, revealed that the dispute between his son and the record label has left him deeply worried.

According to Danso, what troubles him the most is his inability to share photos of his son due to claims that the label owns the intellectual property of the artiste.

He stated that since he cannot buy back Kwesi Arthur’s freedom, the label should also produce the sperm from which the musician was conceived.

“I don’t even have the right to use the image of my child to do anything. I am a simple, ordinary, poor Ghanaian. I don’t need money. I’m not looking for money. But I am putting it to Kwesi’s management that they should bring back my sperm.

“I can donate it to any nearby hospital for them to produce another Kwesi for me. And if they can do that, then whatever they are demanding from my boy, if it is a loan we have to take, we are ready,” he said.

The musician’s father additionally noted that he would go to any length to ensure that the truth between his son and his former management comes to light.

“I think, as a father, I have to push to every extent possible to get the truth out. Right now, the daily back-and-forth has become too much. I’m no longer interested in that.

“I am going to take it up and push both the management and my boy to the wall to get the truth out of it. But mind you, right now, Ground Up is taking custody of my blood,” he added.
