  The best way to verify any vision about any future event is through much prayer and waiting on the Lord and checking it against what the scriptures say. It can take years before this is finally manifest and, in the meantime, God will be preparing you for that person and preparing them for you. I repeat - if it is of God, it will manifest itself eventually. In cases like this it can be a real temptation to fit the first person you get attracted to into that "vision" or "revelation” sometimes against your own better judgement. God will not for example lead a child of His who is trying to please him to get married to an unbeliever or someone who claims to be a believer, but whose utterances and lifestyle are far removed from that of the standards revealed in the scriptures. Certainly, GOD WILL NOT LEAD YOU TO A PERSON WHO IS MAKING YOU DISOBEY HIS CLEAR COMMANDS ESPECIALLY WITH RESPECT TO THE COURTSHIP PERIOD. God is not for disorder but for peace, joy and steadfastness.
  BE PARTICULARLY CAREFUL OF ANY PERSON WHO SO BADLY WANT YOU THAT THEY WILL START GOING TO CHURCH OR START ATTENDING PRAYER MEETINGS IN ORDER TO WORM THEIR WAY INTO YOUR LIFE. You were not called by God to "convert" someone so that you can marry them that is the work of the Holy Spirit. At best God’s Holy Spirit can work through us – it is a very slippery road attempting to “convert “a person so that you can marry them. We all know of cases where a man or woman allowed themselves to be seduced by a “pretender” who once they got married reverted to their true colours. Many such marriages end in separation or divorce because of incompatibility of belief.
