Ekow Black captured at the court premises
Popular TikTok personality Christford Affadu Danful, widely known as Ekow Black, has once again appeared before an Accra District Court in connection with an alleged domestic abuse case.
The 25-year-old has been charged with assault, contrary to Section 84 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
In a video shared by GHOne TV on social media, Ekow Black, clad in a white shirt, black trousers, and a nose mask, was seen heading towards the courtroom accompanied by several individuals.
According to the prosecution, he is currently on trial for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Rachel Oduro, with the intent to cause harm and pain.
TikToker granted bail in assault case
Court documents indicate that the incident occurred on November 30, when he allegedly subjected the complainant to a severe beating.
Excerpts of the incident circulated online, sparking widespread discussion.
In the footage, Ekow Black was seen allegedly chasing and physically attacking the victim, landing punches and slaps as bystanders pleaded with him to stop.
He was eventually arrested on Thursday, January 15, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.
Police reports indicate that the suspect and the complainant were in a strained relationship marked by frequent disputes.
In addition to the assault, Ekow Black faces further charges, including threatening to release intimate images and engaging in sextortion.
On January 21, the court granted him bail in the sum of GH¢30,000 with sureties. He has since reappeared before the court as the case continues.
