Let this Akan hating woman replace Akwaaba with Obaake, make Fugu the national costume and ban speaking Twi. When they know you, they know you. We’re not perturbed at all. Instead of designating one specific day of the week for just one type of Ghana attire, the government would have served the nation better by designating that Wednesday as a Ghana attire day, a day that general public and students can be allowed to wear any Ghanaian attire of their choosing to work and classes. Such a designation would hi-lite the various Ghana attires all year round, thus promoting cultural awareness while also boosting the sale of the different Ghana attires.
