  Record labels are death traps, just like Ghana's many rural roads. They must be fixed. You have to understand that record labels are vampires, ready to suck the blood of new artists. And the labels know damn well that new artists often have no bargaining power since they're excited to to ink a contract. Those labels can't fleece you without taking away your freedom. If you happen to score good success with a record, then try using that as a bargaining chip to regain the freedom that the label took away from you. Record labels don't sell mouse traps, they specialize in selling death traps that are meant trap only new artists with weak bargaining hands. By the way, how come you're still alive if you did enter one of those death traps?
