Ghanaian entertainment pundit and artiste manager, Kwesi Ernest, has described singer Wendy Shay as the most bullied musician on social media in Ghana.

According to him, aside from the late Ebony Reigns, Wendy Shay is the second female artiste who has faced intense trolling and criticism online.

Speaking on Onua Show Time on March 4, 2026, Kwesi Ernest said that despite the constant trolling, Wendy Shay has continued to grow and excel in the music industry.

“If we should talk about musicians in Ghana who have been trolled and bullied on social media, that will be Wendy Shay, aside from the late Ebony. I’m grateful to God that, among all the trolls, she’s been blessed and moving forward in the music industry,” he said.

Kwesi Ernest further noted that from 2025 to 2026, Wendy Shay’s hard work and dedication have become more visible, as her music has continued to gain widespread recognition.

“From the year 2025 to 2026, Wendy Shay is the artiste whose work and effort have been seen and appreciated. Her music has been recognized and even children sing her songs,” he stated.

The artiste manager, therefore, urged the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) to acknowledge her efforts by nominating her in multiple categories and awarding her the ultimate prize.

“I’m telling the TGMAs board that this year’s 'Artiste of the Year' award should be given to her. She deserves to be nominated in all categories; she has worked so hard, and she invested a lot of money into her craft,” he noted.

Kwesi Ernest also expressed pride in Wendy Shay’s growth over the years and said he believes her dedication could earn her international recognition in the future, including the possibility of winning the BET Awards.

“I’ve seen her growth and I’m so proud of her. I believe she would win BET Awards,” he added.”
