On March 6, 2026, Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration, rapper Sarkodie took his flagship concert, Rapperholic, to the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, making history as the first African rapper to sell out the venue.

Over the years, Rapperholic has grown to be one of Ghana’s most anticipated annual music concerts.

The show has consistently sold out major venues while featuring some of the biggest Ghanaian and international acts.

Efya reveals baby bump on stage

Songstress Efya surprised fans when she appeared on stage with a visible baby bump, publicly revealing it for the first time during the UK edition of Rapperholic.

Efya and Sarkodie have a long history of musical collaborations, with the singer frequently lending her vocals to some of the rapper’s biggest songs and live performances over the years.

Their chemistry on stage has always been a fan favourite, and the Rapperholic UK show was no different as the two performed their hit songs “I’m In Love With You” and “Saara.”

During the moment, Sarkodie congratulated Efya on stage for her pregnancy. He jokingly added that although many fans might have wished the two were expecting a child together, Efya is like a sister to him.

Creative announcement of 2027 Rapperholic UK at the iconic O2 Arena

Sarkodie also used the moment to officially announce that the next edition of his international concert series, 2027 Rapperholic UK, will take place at London’s O2 Arena on March 6, 2027, coinciding with Ghana’s 70th Independence anniversary.

In a creative moment on stage, Sarkodie told the audience he wanted to show them something and briefly walked off stage.

Moments later, visuals appeared on the screen showing him at the iconic arena wearing the same outfit he had on during the performance.

The transition made it look as though he had walked straight from the concert stage to the arena and back, drawing loud reactions from the audience.

With a seating capacity of roughly 20,000, the O2 Arena represents a major leap in scale for the Rapperholic brand.

Sarkodie pays tribute to Daddy Lumba

During the concert, Sarkodie also paused his set to honour the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

For several minutes, he paid tribute by playing some of the legend’s classic songs such as “Wo Ho Kyere” and “Asee Ho.”

Sarkodie even added his signature dance moves with a Highlife twist as the crowd sang along and cheered to the timeless records.

Surprise appearance by Stormzy and Headie One

UK rap heavyweights Stormzy and Headie One made an explosive surprise appearance as special guests at Rapperholic 2026.

Dressed in their signature street style, the two rappers joined Sarkodie on stage, trading bars and energising the crowd.

The duo performed the drill hit “Cry No More,” sending the audience into a frenzy.

Ghanaian artistes support Sarkodie

Despite headlining the event, Sarkodie once again showed his commitment to supporting fellow Ghanaian artistes by sharing the stage with several acts.

Lasmid, known for his hit “Friday Night,” thrilled the crowd with a lively performance and also delivered other songs including “Darkest Style.”

KiDi, often referred to as “Gyal Dem Sugar,” also took the stage and took fans on a musical “love ride” with hits such as “Adiepena,” “Don’t Keep Me Waiting,” and “Touch It.”

Five Star, King Promise, was also part of the lineup. He performed some of his collaborations with Sarkodie including “Can’t Let You Go” and “Favourite Story,” drawing cheers from the audience as they sang along.

Flavour’s surprise appearance

Although the night was expected to be dominated by Ghanaian artistes due to the Independence Day celebration, Sarkodie surprised fans by bringing Nigerian Highlife musician Flavour on stage.

Flavour delivered an exciting performance, taking the crowd through some of his nostalgic Afrobeats classics including fan favourites “Ashawo” and “Game Changer (Dike).”
