Ghanaian gospel musician Broda Sammy has made a shocking revelation about a past experience in his life, disclosing that he once had a sexual encounter inside a church, which resulted in the birth of his child.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on March 17, 2026, Broda Sammy described the incident as one of his deepest secrets.

According to him, the incident happened during a period when he was struggling and living in a church where he often helped to clean the church.

“When I used to sleep in a church, I got a child from there. This is my deepest secret because I’ve not told anyone about it,” he disclosed.

He explained that he shared cleaning duties with a woman at the church, and one night, while he was asleep on a bench, an unexpected encounter occurred between them.

“I used to clean a church and lived there. A woman I was cleaning the church with slept with me. One day, I was lying on a bench at night. Not knowing, my manhood came out of the space in our boxer shorts, he said.

He continued, “I was fast asleep, so when she was cleaning the church, she saw my manhood and got attracted. All of a sudden, I felt someone on me. I was thinking it was a demon, so I tried to push it away, only for me to realise it was the lady who was having sex with me in the church. I enjoyed it, so I couldn’t ask her to stop.”

Broda Sammy shared that at the time, he was young and inexperienced, noting that the encounter marked his first sexual experience.

He further disclosed that the woman later became pregnant, although he was initially unaware of the situation.

According to him, a church elder took responsibility for caring for the child until she grew older.

“I was a virgin at that time, so she was the first woman I did that with. She later got pregnant, but I didn’t know. Our church elder, who took care of the child until she got to secondary school. I had to go for her because my pastor was relocating abroad,” he noted.

The gospel musician revealed that his daughter is now 21 years old and is currently a student at the University of Ghana.

He also mentioned that although he informed his ex-wife about having a child, she never had the opportunity to meet her.

“She’s currently at the University of Ghana and she’s 21 years old. I told my ex-wife I had a child, but she never saw her,” he added.
