Bisa Kdei is a Ghanaian highlife singer
Ghanaian highlife singer Bisa Kdei has attributed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss in the 2024 elections to what he describes as Ghanaians' short memory span, noting that people easily forget the good times when faced with challenges.
In a recent interview on JoyPrime, he explained that the call for change in the 2024 election was not necessarily because the NPP government was bad, but rather because Ghanaians overlooked the administration’s early successes and focused more on its later struggles.
President Mahama is moving too fast – Bisa Kdei
He further cautioned that the current president, John Dramani Mahama, could face a similar fate if conditions worsen during his tenure.
“I said recently that John Mahama is moving too fast. He came, and the cedi’s strength against the dollar is solid.
"In Ghana, people easily forget, so things might be good now, but if it gets bad during the latter part of the administration, Ghanaians will forget all that you did for them. I think that is what happened to the previous administration and forced people to call for change,” he stated.
