Millions of young women around the world dream of becoming top models and 19-year-old Bridget Shiel was one of them.

By early 2016, her ambitions were beginning to take shape. She had signed with an agency and even secured a role in a music video, marking a promising start to what looked like a blossoming career.

Bridget, a hairstylist, model, and video vixen, became widely known as the lead vixen in 'Biegya' by Criss Waddle.

But just as things were beginning to look up, her life was tragically cut short.

On May 31, 2016, Bridget was shot seven times. Investigators believe she was running away as the shots were fired.

Beyond her work in modeling and hairstyling, Bridget was reportedly involved in escort services through Backpage, a platform widely known at the time for adult listings.

An eyewitness claimed to have seen her just hours before her death at a gas station, sitting in the front passenger seat of a car with two men.

One was behind the wheel. The witness recalled that she appeared nervous, though nothing seemed immediately alarming until news of her death broke.

Dead model in Criss Waddle's video was a sex work - Report

The witness recalled that she appeared nervous, although nothing seemed immediately alarming until news of her death broke.

Her body was later discovered at a basketball court in Oakland City Park.

It was alleged that her boyfriend at the time acted as her pimp, introducing her to the escort business and taking a percentage of her bookings.

Reports stated that Bridget had plans to quit and focus fully on her modeling career, a decision that may have caused tension between the two.

Her boyfriend was said to be unhappy at the thought of losing that income.

According to these claims, he eventually asked her to leave his home, and from then until her death, Bridget was reportedly sleeping in her car.

Police initially considered her boyfriend a prime suspect, but he was later cleared after investigations found no direct link to her killing.

Bridget’s car was eventually found abandoned near a restaurant in Georgia, about 20 miles from where her body was discovered. Inside, investigators found some of her clothes and a Sprite bottle, a detail that would later prove crucial.

Two years later, in 2018, DNA from the bottle was matched to Christopher Spencer, a gang member already serving a life sentence for the 2016 killing of a couple and two children.

Spencer was not initially connected to Bridget’s case. His DNA only surfaced after a blood test in prison matched the sample taken from the bottle found in her car. Despite the evidence, Spencer denied ever knowing Bridget.

To this day, the motive behind Bridget Shiel’s killing remains unknown.
