Gospel musician Liizzy Gordon has said that while earning nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards remains a personal ambition, her ultimate focus is on spiritual impact and divine reward.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the Takoradi-based singer explained that although industry awards acknowledge talent, her priority is using her music to touch lives and serve a higher purpose.

“TGMA awards recognise talent, but ultimately, God is the one who rewards,” she stated, adding that as a new artiste, her immediate goal is to develop her craft and make meaningful impact through her songs.

Addressing claims that artistes based in Accra receive more recognition than those in other regions, Gordon dismissed the notion as a misconception.

According to her, success in the music industry is not determined by location but by talent, dedication, and message.

She pointed to examples of successful musicians emerging from outside the capital, insisting that the awards scheme operates fairly and rewards merit.
