With conversation around media personality and ex-Guinness World Record contender Afua Asantewaa, her marital issues have come into focus following her disclosure that she and her husband are separated.

However, the singer confirmed during a TikTok Live on April 1, 2026, that she still has her wedding ring but has chosen not to wear it again for personal reasons she did not disclose publicly.

“I still have my wedding ring, but I won’t wear it because we are separated. And I’m not wearing it for so many reasons,” she said.

For those interpreting her statement about being separated as an indication that she is divorced from her husband, Afua reiterated that this is not the case, stressing that they are still legally married despite the separation.

Afua Asantewaa further addressed claims that she divorced her husband after relocating to Canada. She explained that the relocation to Canada was made together with her husband and questioned the basis of such claims, asking, “So how did we divorce?”

Meanwhile, in a TikTok Live session with Prophet Fire Oja on March 31, 2026, Afua Asantewaa mentioned that she and her husband are separated and not divorced, as speculated.

The former GWR participant also shared that she is healing from the challenges she has faced in her marriage.

“I am not divorced. We are separated for a good cause, and I am gradually healing. It is not a big deal,” she said.
