Don’t expect privacy after exposing your marriage — MC Yaa Yeboah jabs Efua Asantewaa

Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the marriage of Guinness World Record singathon contender Efua Asantewaa and her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has shared her thoughts.

Speaking during a discussion on United Showbiz, on April 4, 2026, MC Yaa Yeboah criticised the singathon contender for publicising issues in her marriage on social media.

According to her, it was a wrong decision for Efua Asantewaa to make her marital issues public, adding that she does not owe anyone any explanation regarding her marriage.

“Going through a divorce isn’t an easy thing. I sympathise with Efua and Kofi Aduonum that a beautiful marriage with three children would have to end in a public spectacle.

“Because she is a public figure, she could, at the right time, inform the public that she is no longer with her husband, but she doesn’t owe anyone any explanation,” she said.

Responding to Efua Asantewaa’s recent press statement, in which the Guinness World Record singathon contender requested privacy during her divorce proceedings, MC Yaa Yeboah stated:

“We will not respect any boundaries because you gave us undeniable access to your marital home on a silver platter.

“I understand that you have to speak because you are going through a lot, but the question is: who are you speaking to? Because this is content for us on social media. Bloggers will milk you dry,” she added.
