A close friend destroyed my marriage - Mimi Andani painfully recounts

Ghanaian musician cum entrepreneur Mimi Andani has opened up about painful experiences of betrayal, revealing that a close friend played a role in the collapse of her marriage.

Speaking on Onua Showtyme, she seized the Easter season to reflect on betrayal, recounting how a trusted friend she considered a sister played a role in destroying her marriage.

"No matter how good you treat someone, do not expect the same thing back. Even our Saviour Jesus sacrificed his life, and at the end of the day, he was still betrayed," she said.

Mimi Andani disclosed that despite her loyalty and sacrifices in friendships, she has repeatedly been let down by those she trusted most.

"I was betrayed. Left, right, center, my whole life. I am someone who would sacrifice for friendship. If you're my friend, I will treat you like a sister," she recounted.

She added, “Because of that, I get betrayed. My marriage was destroyed by a friend, although I sacrificed a lot for that friend.

Despite the pain, Mimi Andani urged the public not to allow betrayal to change who they are at heart.

"If you get betrayed, you should take it easy. And that should not deter you from being the good person you are," she advised.

In 2023, Mimi Andani officially announced that her marriage of eight years to Nana Michaels had ended.

In a long Instagram post on November 15, she disclosed that she and Nana Michaels are now focused on co-parenting without letting their issues affect their only child.

She said the announcement became necessary because she was still being introduced as "Mrs Michaels" at events.
